I was deep in tech startups since we installed MSOffice from floppy disks. I’ve survived 8 startups, 3 acquisitions, 1 IPO and 5 failures. Nothing gets me more excited than starting and building something new where there was nothing before.

After being the CEO’s lackey in the IPO of ADAM Software, I helped the founder of TSI sell his $6M/year startup to FirstData/Western Union, and realized that I needed to start my own thing. 13 years later, I sold CWNP to a private equity group in NC. During those 13 years, I started 3 other businesses, all of which died in the 2009 meltdown. After selling CWNP, I immediately – too soon – launched another startup, pivoted from B2C to B2B, and then crashed and burned. After that, I regrouped and started freelancing my marketing and content abilities, started Pitch Practice, Atlanta Tech Blogs (acquired), and also shared my knowledge and experience by teaching digital marketing classes at General Assembly.

Today, alongside a tremendous group of investors, I have the pleasure of leading the team at the best indoor shooting range in Atlanta, SharpShooters USA.
